Since August CSI has been responding to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. While the wind and rain have ceased the effects of the storm are still being felt by those living in the hardest hit areas. CSI is committed to supporting and helping our brothers and sisters here in the USA and in the Caribbean as they repair and rebuild their homes, churches, schools, and lives. Containers of additional supplies are scheduled to arrive in Puerto Rico on December 19th. Thank you for your continued support. Your donations have allowed relief to be sent to Texas, Florida, and to the Caribbean. Because of you CSI was also able to send funding to repair the roof of a building at the UPCI camp ground in Puerto Rico that had been damaged and was leaking.
Puerto Rico Medical Mission Trip
The Puerto Rico Medical Missions team is back and had a productive trip. During their week there in November, the team treated nearly 200 patients at four different clinic locations and delivered medical supplies. Thank you for your support of CSI and helping make trips like this possible and a success. We couldn't do it without you.
Funding has been sent to rebuild the church in Kenscoff that was destroyed when Hurricane Matthew ripped through the region. Just this week funding was also sent for the repairs to the church in Miragoane. There are still two other churches that are in need of repairs in Jeremie and Cayes. These towns are home to more than 150,000 people. Missionaries Ron and Terry Brian are ready to work. They have local volunteers and can purchase supplies locally. This is important because it helps to bolster the local economy and instills ownership among the people. Your donation will help to make sure that all 4 churches get the repairs that they need.
